In 1989, Victoriaville & Co. signed a strategic partnership with Aurora and then with Matthews Aurora resulting in Matthews Aurora becoming the distributor of Victoriaville & Co. wood products, and in Victoriaville & Co. becoming the distributor of Matthews Aurora metal products.

In the late 1980s, the Victoriaville Group signed its first strategic partnership with Aurora Casket Company in Aurora, Indiana. Since then, Victoriaville & Co. has signed other strategic partnerships with world-class organizations to become a one-stop-shop funeral supply company that offers caskets, containers, urns, vaults, stationery, and other commemorative supplies through other suppliers. Today, we still do business with Matthews Aurora as our largest supplier of metal and fabric-covered products.

Metal caskets can be made from base steel of various gauge thicknesses, stainless steel or precious metals. In fact, copper and bronze are renowned for their timeless beauty and elegance. Most metal caskets are referred to as “corrosion resistant”, "protective" or "sealed" caskets. They are assembled with a thick rubber strip along the entire length of the lid, thus creating a sealed enclosure preventing outside elements from penetrating the casket.
